EPCOT Parisian Breakfast November 4, 2017

Saturday morning, November 4, 2017, we made our way back to the French Pavilion for an event that we’ve attended since 2013 – the Parisian Breakfast.  (2013 was the first year the Parisian Breakfast was held.)  Even though this event is essentially the same from year to year, we still really enjoy it and will continue to attend for years to come.  French pastry is always great, the coffee and hot chocolate really hit the spot in the morning, and the never-ending mimosas are always are big, big hit.  We stood at the bridge near EPCOT’s International Gateway waiting for the rope to drop before quickly walking the remaining steps to Chefs de France.  After checking in, we were handed a mimosa and escorted to our table.

My husband took a number of pictures of the buffet tables covered with the food offered for this event.  Everything always looks so good and it’s probably a good thing that there isn’t enough room in my stomach to eat as much as my eyes want.  😉  So, without further ado, here in pictures are the offerings at the Parisian Breakfast.

Guests walk past one of four tables containing pastries, breads, cold cuts, fruits, and cheeses.

The light and flaky croissants are probably my favorite whether it’s the plain croissants or the pain au croissants (croissants with dark chocolate).

Next in line is Danish and brioche.

One of the items on my plate was the Hazelnut brioche and it was really good. And of course, there is always a baguette with butter.

There’s always fruit, cold cut meats, and tasty cheeses. Eating some fruit and cheese makes the breakfast a little healthier, right?

Croque Monsieur is a fried (or it can be baked) ham and cheese sandwich. A tartine is essentially an open-faced sandwich and in this case, is prepared with tomato and cheese.

One can return to the buffet table as often as desired, although I only manged one return visit.  Whether you walk past the table only once or multiple times, the Parisian Breakfast is a great way to start the day.

This is my husband’s plate after his initial walk past the buffet table. He did return again, in case you were curious. By the way, when the servers refill the mimosa glass, they tend to pour more champagne than orange juice. One is truly relaxed after breakfast.

So, even though we know what to expect from this event, we find it very fun and enjoyable.  The French servers are great and have a passion for their food and wines, or mimosas, as the case may be.  It is one of the cheaper ticketed events of the Food and Wine Festival and I recommend giving it a try if interested.

Retired since 2011. I love to travel and spend time around a campfire. I find if I have a glass of wine or beer while sitting around the campfire, I enjoy life even more.
